Synopsis
The series follows multiple arcs as the main focus is on Violet, a traveling trainer who decides to try and become the best, traveling across the regions to become the best Pokémon trainer around, facing numerous friends, rivals and enemies on the way.
Simple Beginnings Arc
Violet is a thirteen-year-old who lives in Kanto as she is given a Charmander as a starter as she decides to beat the eight gym leaders of Kanto while dealing with a bunch of random trainers and Pokémon as well as a conspiracy involving the gym leader Giovanni and the mafia known as Team Rocket.

Main
- Violet – a somewhat aggressive and overexcited preteen who decides to become the best Pokémon trainer around, traveling through multiple regions as she slowly becomes more and more powerful through training her Pokémon team.
- Blue – an egotistical and somewhat snarky but friendly at heart teenager who becomes Violet’s rival as he decides to join her on her journey, claiming so he can be stronger than her but turns out he actually has grown a bond with her and believes that she makes him stronger like how he makes her stronger.
- Green – a studious female trainer who doesn’t want to become a Pokémon trainer to be a champion but instead wants to study all Pokémon and see what they like and dislike, joining Violet and Blue as she can sometimes be naggy and controlling but means well.

Simple Beginnings Arc
- Professor Oak – the professor of Kanto’s Pokémon as he oversees both Violet and Blue’s process as well as Green’s as he is quite fascinated by their goal, keeping his eyes closely on them while sometimes giving them advice through their Pokedex.
- Brock – the somewhat cold yet intelligent rock type Gym Leader of Pewter City known for his love for training Pokémon, being the first gym leader that Violet and Blue faces against, as Brock is a fair player, willing to admit when he loses.
- Misty – the super competitive and brash water type Gym Leader of Cerulean City who is looking for a good fight as she can sometimes go overboard with her strategies but absolutely loves the thrill of Pokémon battles.
- Lt. Surge – the militaristic electric type Gym Leader of Vermilion City Gym who fashions his gym as a boot camp as he often rants like a drill sergeant and does duels with everything he has got.
- Erika – the peace-loving and sweet-natured grass type Gym Leader of the Celadon City Gym as she cares about her Pokémon with a passion, although she is not a pushover when it comes to fighting.
- Koga – the calm Poison type Gym Leader of Fuchsia City’s Gym who claims to be a student of Ninjitsu as he cares for his Pokémon but is extremely skilled with strategy.
- Nurse Joy – a wise and sweet-natured nurse who treats Pokémon of their injuries as there are multiple Nurse Joys all over Kanto as they all seem to be relatives although none of them really comment on it.
- Officer Jenny – a police officer who cares about peace and stopping criminals as like Joy there is one in every city and nobody has any idea how or why.
